What an “account” means in this app
Loopback Contacts does not use a consumer signup with email and password on the phone. After your organization invites you, the app enrolls this device and creates a dedicated Loopback contacts account on the phone for organization contacts only. Portal administrators (IT) have separate web accounts on loopback.ca.
What we delete when you request it
- Device enrollment on our servers (device record, tokens, sync cursor) for the device identified in your request
- A wipe request so the next sync removes Loopback-synced organization contacts from that device (not a full phone wipe; personal/Google contacts are not deleted by us)
- Portal user accounts you control (email, phone used for 2FA, passkeys, sessions), when you are the account holder and request portal deletion
What may be retained
- Organization directory contact records belong to your employer/tenant customer. Leaving a group or asking IT to revoke enrollment removes your device access; the tenant may still store encrypted directory data for other enrolled staff until they change their sync configuration
- Limited audit/security logs (for example that a revoke or deletion request occurred) for about 90 days by default
- Billing records we must keep for tax or accounting, if any apply to a paid tenant
How long it takes
We aim to process deletion requests within 30 days of verifying the request. Device-side Loopback contacts are removed on the next successful sync after revoke/wipe (often within about an hour, or sooner if you tap Sync now), or immediately if you use Reset enrollment in the app and remove the Loopback account.
In the app (without waiting for email)
- Open Loopback Contacts → Settings (gear).
- Tap Reset enrollment to clear tokens on this phone.
- Ask your company IT to revoke your enrollment in the Loopback portal so the server marks the device revoked and requests removal of Loopback-synced contacts.
- You can also open this page from Settings → Request account deletion.
